The King's Award for Enterprise

RJM International is a proud recipient of The King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2026

John Goldring Black and White

A Message from our Managing Director

“On behalf of all the team at RJM, I am delighted to accept this most prestigious business award that recognises our recent rapid growth in export sales.

“Power generators the world over are facing similar challenges; how to generate more power, more efficiently, reliably and flexibly, yet do so with a range of fuels and simultaneously with reduced emissions.

“Global uncertainties in terms of fuel availability and price spikes, as well as the transition to lower carbon generation are forcing generators to integrate multi-fuel options, whilst the increase in renewables coming on to the grid means they must be able to increase or decrease generation output at a moment’s notice, yet still remain emissions-compliant.

“Adapting existing plant with RJM’s advanced products and expert services allow our customers to operate reliably and cost-effectively within these new parameters. These are RJM’s core areas of expertise and demonstrates how we have been able to win a range of overseas projects – no matter what the fuel, the firing system or the size of the plant – and help these generators improve their performance.

“Currently we have overseas projects running in Australia, Malaysia, Kosovo, Spain, Turkey and the USA and it is down to the expertise, professionalism, and commitment of our engineers that we are able to develop such innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at RJM for enabling us to be able to enter and ultimately win this most prestigious award.”

John Goldring, Managing Director, RJM International

Recognising Our Global Excellence in Combustion Engineering

The King’s Award for Enterprise, formerly known as The Queen’s Awards, celebrates the UK’s most successful and innovative businesses. RJM’s selection for the International Trade award highlights our success in exporting our specialist, technical products and services to major utility power producers and other industrial thermal-fired plants worldwide.

Over the past three years, we have achieved strong overseas sales growth across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the USA. Our bespoke engineering solutions are enabling all types of thermal-fired plant, including biomass and Energy from Waste units to operate more efficiently and reliably.

We are also helping our generator customers to reduce emissions and to transition to lower carbon fuels as they begin their descent to low-to-zero carbon generation.

How We Are Driving the Energy Transition Worldwide

Our success is built on a foundation of proprietary technology and deep-domain expertise. Our work allows some of the world’s largest power plants to operate more efficiently, significantly reducing NOx, SOx, dust – and emissions of CO2 emissions.

Key achievements contributing to our win include:

  • Expansion into New Markets: We have delivered complex combustion retrofits with advanced RJM burner technology and we are developing biomass conversion projects in rapidly developing regions.
  • New Offices: To support export growth we have built up our overseas teams in Asia-Pacific, the USA and Ireland.
  • Fuel Switching: We have enabled power producers to switch from coal to gas and producer cleaner power more efficiently
  • Innovation in Hydrogen: Many of our new burners are “hydrogen enabled” giving plants an additional step-change in carbon emissions reduction and assuring plant life extension
  • Sustained Export Growth: We have demonstrated a consistent and significant increase in our overseas earnings
