It has been announced that RJM and Evero are joint IChemE Global Awards 2023 Finalists in the Industry Project category.

Commenting on this success, Steve Billett Head of Projects at RJM International said, “I am delighted to confirm that RJM, jointly with Evero, one of our key customers in the Biomass and Energy from Waste sector, are Finalists in the IChemE Global Awards 2023, in the Industry Project category.

“Our award application, ‘Delivering performance improvements for Ince Bio Power’, explains how together, we have undertaken a series of complex plant improvement upgrades which have returned the plant to profitability. One of the key achievements has been to stabilise the gasification technology, which in turn opens the door for waste to be transformed into a new generation future fuel, which, when combined with CCUS (Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage) will be the best route forward for waste and waste wood. The project is still ongoing and further benefits will be realised during 2023,” he added.

Ince Bio Power is a 21.5MWe Energy from Waste plant using modern gasifier combustion technology, firing around 170,000 tonnes of waste wood per annum.

The Awards Dinner will take place on Thursday 30th November at the Hilton Metropole in the NEC, Birmingham.
