At the Awards Dinner held last night (30th November 2023) at the NEC Hilton Metropole, RJM International jointly with its customer Evero won the “Highly Commended” award in the Industry Project category.
The award submission demonstrated how RJM and Evero were able to achieve significant performance improvements at Evero’s Ince Bio Power site. This 24MWe EfW plant uses modern gasifier combustion technology and fires 170,000 tonnes of waste wood per annum. As a result of the joint project – which is still ongoing – sub-optimal combustion has been resolved and the plant has been returned to profitability.
Commenting on being awarded “Highly Commended”, John Goldring, Managing Director of RJM said, “We have been working collaboratively with Evero at its Ince and Hull plants for over three years now and have delivered a series of plant improvements across materials handling, fuel feed systems and combustion, including the installation of two new OverFire Air systems. This award recognises the success of these projects and confirms that complex gasifier combustion technology can be optimised, if one has the right CFD analytic tools and solid modelling and engineering experience – no matter what the fuel.”
